# Getting started with HR Planner
HR Planner is a simple tool to facilitate your work in managing your team's time off requests, expense reports, as well automating the export of this information to your payroll system.
# Accessing HR Planner for the first time
The first time you use HR Planner, you will go through our onboarding process. Here are the main steps you will go through:
Creating your company
Here you will provide basic information about your campany, such as regular work days, as well as the number of hours per week that a full-time worker (FTE) usually works.
You will be able to customize these values for each indivual worker later if needed.
Adding your team
You will now provide some additionaly information about yourself, as well as provide basic information for the worker in your team.
Initially, you will be the person that can approve/deny their various requests within HR Planner. At a later stage, you will be able to customize the approval heirachry of your company.
